Exercising With Your New Breast Implants

Exercising With Your New Breast Implants

After breast augmentation surgery, like any surgery, it’s always important to take it easy and follow your surgeon’s recovery instructions. But, once you are fully recovered, healed, and ready to get back to your work out routine (check with your surgeon about just how long you should wait) what precautions should you take? After all, you could now be jogging with large breasts for the first time in your life!

    497090528_aeb631bb6e

You’ve probably seen photos of bodybuilders who have undergone breast augmentation so you know they aren’t skipping their workouts! Of course, while you get used to your new assets things are going to feel strange. The extra weight on your chest and the movement of the implants, particularly during arm exercises. Low-impact cardio is a great way to ease back in to exercise while you get used to your new implants. It is important to wait before resuming any chest exercises though, particularly with implants placed sub muscularly the muscle is healing so it is important to treat it as such.

silicone breast implantFrom Dr McCluskey:  Many breast augmentation patients are told by their doctors to avoid exercise during the first few weeks after surgery.  I actually encourage patients to resume low-impact exercise (walking on treadmill or elliptical) within a few days after surgery.   I find that the most active patients feel better, have less pain, recover faster, and resume normal activities faster.  That said, I prefer for breast augmentation patients to wait a few weeks before resuming upper body workouts, particularly if they use heavy weights.  The pectoral muscles are partially released during breast augmentation surgery and this area needs to heal before strenuous exercise is resumed.  So the take-home message is that I want my breast implant patients to get out and walk or do light exercise very soon after surgery, but hold off on upper body weight lifting or pushups for a few weeks.

    Facelift Cost Atlanta

Cost involved and the right candidates for facelifts

Facelift cost AtlantaA surgical procedure which is carried out to provide the face with a much younger look is known as facelift. Technically, facelift is called rhytidectomy. This sort of cosmetic surgery enhances the shape and size of the face by getting rid of the excess facial skin. Certain kinds of facelift procedures also tighten the underlying tissues. To attain the best result, it is frequently combined with other additional procedures which address the eyes, cheeks, forehead and brows. Research shows that facelifts are quite popular among both women and men.

People who can go for this surgery

A facelift is a procedure that can only be performed through surgery.  Facelift surgery is an extremely personalized procedure so you should talk to your cosmetic surgeon to understand how it will change your appearance.

You are a good candidate for a facelift surgery if:

    • You do not have any physical ailment.
    • You do not have the habit of smoking.
    • You have a positive attitude and pragmatic expectations in mind for the improvement of your looks.

    How well does it work?

Undergoing a face-lift procedure will definitely make you look younger. You will keep on getting older, but a face-lift will ensure that it does not show on your face. For many people, this may lead to an increase in self-confidence and would reduce the anxiousness of getting older. A face-lift can cut back signs of growing old to a large extent. To achieve the best results, you might want to get a face lift done first and then go for the treatment of your skin. The safety and success of your face-lift operation depends a lot on the experience, skills and past successful surgeries of your plastic surgeon.

    Costs of undergoing a facelift

Cost will always be a factor to consider when it comes to cosmetic surgery. Facelift prices can deviate depending on the location and experience of the surgeon. There are plastic surgeons who offer their patient financing plans, so make sure that you check those in detail. Given below are the various types of costs involved in a typical facelift surgery done by an experienced cosmetic surgeon:

    • Anesthesia fees– It includes the fees of the anesthetics.
    • Hospital and surgical facility cost- This includes the fees of using the hospital premises for the operation.
    • Medical tests– The fees of the various tests conducted before the surgery.
    • Post surgery garments
    • Prescriptions for medication– The medicines that you need to have to recover from the surgery.
    • Surgeon’s fee– It contributes to the major part of the fee and varies from surgeon to surgeon.

So, you must be careful and make sure about the authenticity and experience of the surgeon before taking the plunge. You will be able to find a lot of qualified surgeons who are specialist in the area of cosmetic surgery in and around Atlanta.

Cameron Diaz Thinks Women Should Keep Things Natural

The trend for women to wax, shave, and at the very least trim their pubic hair is now well established among ladies today. Whether it’s a Brazilian wax, a landing strip, or ‘vajazzle’-ing, what you are doing to maintain your nether regions is a hot topic. While labiaplasty is nothing new, the popularity of the procedure has exploded since more and more ladies have decided to go bare and come to know their labia like never before.

    article-0-1A62BFD300000578-414_634x636

So naturally, there are those who oppose the hair-free trend and believe women, much to the dismay of men everywhere, should embrace the downstairs hair that they have been naturally endowed with. One of those fighting to free the fuzz is none other than Cameron Diaz. In her new book, Diaz even goes so far as to dedicate an entire chapter to the subject and describes pubic hair as “a pretty draping” and suggests that trends in pubic styling are subject to change. So far responses don’t seem to show a lot of support but could she be right? And could a change in women’s preference lead to a change in the number of labiaplasty procedures performed?

    An Overview of Facelift Surgery

    Facelift Surgery Atlanta

Facelift AtlantaThe first thing that people notice about others is their face. If you have attractive facial features, you seem to draw people towards you. On the other hand, facial flaws are very difficult to hide as people are too quick to notice them. As we start aging, the signs of aging also begin to appear and these can even make us look older than our real age. To solve this problem, there is a surgical procedure which is carried out to provide the face a much younger look, it is known as facelift. In medical terms, it is called rhytidectomy. This procedure is normally done by a cosmetic surgeon.

    How well does it work?

Undergoing a facelift procedure will definitely make you look much attractive and younger. You will keep on getting older, but a facelift can make you look even ten years younger.

What you can expect after the surgery?

Your face will remain bandaged for a few days after the operation. The dressings and stitches will be removed after a period of five to ten days. To relieve the pain, you can take the medicines prescribed by the doctors. Use cold compresses to ease the  bruising and swelling on the face. You may have to keep your head still and elevated. You will have to refrain from smoking as tobacco raises the risk for tissue and skin damage and might defer the process of healing. You can continue with your daily routine in around three weeks time. Your skin may feel dry, rough and numb which may last for some time but this is perfectly normal after the surgery and wont bother you much.

    When to consider this surgery?

If you are healthy and do not suffer from any kind of lifestyle diseases, have a pragmatic outlook towards the surgery and have a positive attitude to life, you are a good candidate for the operation. Apart from having a positive attitude, if you suffer from the following problems you can go for the procedure:

    • Sagging skin on your neck: People with drooping skin on the neck can go for this surgery as this procedure gets rid of the excessive skin and make your neck look better.

How Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) Helps You to Reduce Your Weight

    Abdominoplasty (tummy Tuck) Atlanta

Abdominoplasty (tummy Tuck) AtlantaDr. Paul McCluskey M.D. is a cosmetic surgeon who practices in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery of the skin. His most well known skill is abdominoplasty or tummy tuck. It is essentially a surgical procedure that trims the fat in the abdominal area and makes the patient look slimmer. It is helpful for those patients who are unable to lose weight.

    About Abdominoplasty

Today, many people suffer from obesity and the most common symptom of this is fat deposit in the abdominal area. In the long run, it can affect the skin and cause major health problems. It is best to seek treatment as soon as possible. The best available treatment is abdominoplasty and Dr. Paul McCluskey is an expert in this procedure and is quite well regarded in Atlanta.

He has many years of experience in this field and has already performed many successful surgeries. He has also improved the procedure through his own observations to make it safer for patients. He recommends the procedure for anyone who is unable to reduce his body fat despite exercise or diet changes.

    Benefits of the procedure

The procedure is minimally invasive and only requires a short hospital stay. In this procedure, the fat is surgically removed and the skin is restored to its original condition. As a result, the patient appears slimmer and healthier than before. The procedure is currently available only in a few locations and has already benefited many people.

The surgery has been developed through years of research and has been proven to be effective by countless trials. It has allowed many patients to reduce their weight and return to a normal and healthy life. It is best to get the procedure performed in middle age as it is not recommended for children or for the elderly. Many of the patients are quite satisfied with the procedure and its results.

    Obesity

Obesity is a major health epidemic. While it is possible for some people to solve the problem of obesity by exercise and by regulating their diet, it is not possible for everyone to do it. Some people can only get rid of their obesity through surgical procedure. This is known as abdominoplasty and is quite effective. It can be performed by plastic surgeons and produces the desired results almost immediately.

    Step-by-step Vertical Breast Lift

We’ve told you a lot about breast lifts (or augmentation mastopexy) and even talked you through the procedure and possible incisions. But some times the simplest way is best, so here is a step-by-step guide to breast lifts complete with photos (warning: graphic photos from an actual breast lift procedure are shown, not for the faint of heart).

    Enjoy!

    Step One: Marking the Patient

As you can see below, before the procedure begins Dr McCluskey measures lines on the breast showing which excess skin should be removed and where the new nipple placement will be.

    BREASTLIFT

The nipple is moved to a higher position to correct what is called ptosis (the kinder, gentler word for drooping or sagging) which occurs with age and can be worsened by weight loss, breastfeeding, or multiple pregnancies.

Step Two: Making an Incision Around the Nipple

This incision is also commonly used to reduce the size of the nipple which tend to grow larger as they are stretched by the sagging breast

    BREASTLIFT1

Then an incision around the excess skin that will be removed.

    BREASTLIFT2

    Step Three: Excess Skin Removed

In drooping or ptotic breasts there is essentially too much skin for the amount of breast tissue present so extra skin is removed to correct this ratio. In a breast lift the skin is removed but the breast tissue is preserved to give the patient plenty of volume afterward.  (Don’t worry this is as bad as the pictures get!)

    BREASTLIFT3

Step Four: Remaining Skin is Closed Around the Newly Positioned Nipple

Here we can begin to see the newly lifted breast beginning to take shape!

    BREASTLIFT4

Dr McCluskey carefully sutures the skin together to give the best final result possible.  You will notice that the skin is gathered in places, especially in the area of the breast fold.  This gathering is necessary to minimize the incisions and as the skin heals these small wrinkles will smooth out and the only visible scar will be a small, fine line.

    BREASTLIFT5

    Step Five: Recovery

Now that the patients breasts have been lifted and excess skin has been removed the next, and equally important step, is recovery. By following Dr McCluskey’s recovery instructions the patient will see the best possible results in her more youthful breasts!

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery Cost) in Atlanta

Costs and Risks Involved in Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job Surgery Cost) in AtlantaThe nose reshaping surgery or Rhinoplasty is a procedure which is done to restructure the form of the nose and resolve the nasal functions. This procedure, normally carried out by a cosmetic surgeon, costs a lot and involves a lot of risks. The plastic surgeon who usually do this procedure are very skilled and is paid a lot depending upon experience and past successful work. If you are planning to get Rhinoplasty done in Atlanta, make sure you contact Dr. Paul McCluskey.

Risks and possible complications in Rhinoplasty

Like any other surgery, Rhinoplasty has also got its share of risks and complications. Before the surgery is carried out, you will have to sign the consent form to make sure that you are fully aware about the possible complications that can occur in the process of surgery. Given below are the possible risks associated with Rhinoplasty:

    • Incessant bleeding: During the operation there is good chance that some of your surface vessels may rupture which may lead to bleeding.
    • Infection: If the surgeon is not experienced, you might have to be careful about the possible danger of your wound getting infected.
    • Poor healing of the wound: After the operation the success of the process depends a lot on how quickly your wound gets healed.
    • Skin problems: You may have to go through a lot of pain and irritation after the surgery because of  the tape and bandage used to cover the area operated on.
    • Asymmetrical nose: A botched up surgery might lead to an asymmetric nose which might look even worse than what it was before the surgery.
    • Nasal blockage: It might happen because of an occurrence of a swelling inside the nose.
    • Occurrence of scars: An unskilled surgery may lead to an emergence of scars which would need another surgery to remove.

    Cost of undergoing a Rhinoplasty

Since most people who go for this kind of a cosmetic surgery normally don’t have any issues about the costs involved. However, for the general public it is important to know where they can get it done cheaply and the overall average cost. Given below are the different fees associated with Rhinoplasty:

    • Hospital and surgical facility costs: These are the costs associated with the use of the equipments and other facilities in the hospital.

    • Surgeon’s fee: The fee that has to be paid to the surgeon which varies from person to person.

    • Anesthesia fees: The fees that has to be paid to the anaesthesiologists for their services before the commencement of the surgery.

So, the cost of this surgery depends on the type of surgery needed and the time it takes to finish the surgery and generally it costs more for a surgery that takes more time.
