Male Breast Reduction | Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia, or the medical term for enlarged male breasts, is a fairly common problem among men that is a result of excess localized fat and/or excess glandular tissue in the breast area. While the definite cause of Gynecomastia is unknown, many contribute the problem to heredity or hormone imbalance. Gynecomastia can affect men of all ages and can lead to embarrassment, lack of confidence, and subsequent psychological problems. Fortunately, Dr. McCluskey is skilled in male breast reduction surgery, which involves the removal of unwanted breast tissue and the lifting and retightening of the remaining breast tissue. Further procedures, such as liposuction, may be used to properly shape the breasts.
