Buttock Enhancement (Butt Lift Surgery) Procedure Steps

Buttock Enhancement (Butt Lift Surgery) Procedure Steps | Atlanta SurgeonPatients now increasingly prefer the butt enhancement plastic surgery with fat transfer technique as it involves very small incisions and offers more natural looking and longer lasting outcomes.

The surgeon will inform the patient on the steps involved in the butt lift procedure during the pre-operative consultation process.

Successful plastic surgeon Dr. Paul McCluskey provides buttock enhancement surgery to patients in Atlanta, Buckhead, Georgia, and other towns and cities in this part of the nation.

    Anesthesia

Some surgeons perform buttock enhancement surgery using general anesthesia. But in some cases, the surgeon may use local anesthesia with intravenous (IV) sedation. After the patient is brought into the operating room, they will receive anesthesia prior to the commencement of the butt enhancement procedure.

An anesthesiologist or a registered nurse anesthetist will administer the general anesthesia. They will typically remain in attendance throughout the procedure to oversee the patient’s response to anesthesia. The patient will be asleep during the enhancement surgery and will not experience any discomfort.

    Fat Removal from Donor Sites

After the patient is unconscious under anesthesia, the surgeon will carry out the first step in the butt lift procedure which involves the removal of excess fat from the abdomen or other sites such as the thighs, back or flanks using liposuction.

To perform the liposuction, the surgeon will place tiny incisions. Then they will insert a narrow cannula into the deeper tissue layers of fat via these tiny incisions.

The surgeon will then delicately move the cannula back and forth to dislodge excess fatty deposits. They will then use a syringe or pump connected to the cannula’s outer end to suction the excess fat cells. In this process, the surgeon will remove around three to four times the fat necessary for transfer to the butt.

The surgeon will extract this fat from one or more donor sites to make sure that a sufficient supply of purified fat is sourced for the butt lift cosmetic surgery.

    Fat Purification Process

After the surgeon extracts the fat from the donor sites, these fat cells will undergo a centrifugal process to separate the purified fat. This process is automated to make sure that the fat remains contaminant free.

Today, developments in techniques allow the maximum amount of fat tissue to be utilized for effective fat transfer making the outcomes of the procedure longer lasting. The fat that has been purified will be preserved in safe conditions until the surgeon is ready to transfer it into the buttock region through an injectable procedure.

    Fat Transfer

The surgeon will use only the best tissue for injecting into the butt using narrow cannulas at various depths to ensure that the results look and feel natural. The fat transfer technique and the buttock enhancement goals of the patient will determine the depth, number, and amount of fat injections.

Multiple small injections typically produce more a more consistent buttock appearance. The time taken for the surgery may around one to two hours. Focused cosmetic surgeon Dr. Paul McCluskey receives patients from Atlanta, Buckhead, Georgia, and nearby areas in this remarkable region of the state for a butt lift.
