Breast Lift Plastic Surgery
The breasts can sag and droop with age or after pregnancy and weight loss. If you are feeling self-conscious about the appearance of your breasts and want to improve your figure, talk to Dr. McCluskey about breast lift surgery. The breast lift works by removing excess tissue and repositioning the breasts to create a more youthful contour. It may or may not be performed in conjunction with a breast augmentation procedure.
Benefits of a Breast Lift
Many women experience loss of firmness, sagging, and volume loss of the breasts with age. If you have gained and lost a lot of weight over your lifetime or undergone bariatric surgery, your breasts may droop, point downward, or be asymmetrical.
We can restore fullness in the upper chest with breast lift surgery. This procedure is designed to rejuvenate the breasts and create a more attractive silhouette.
Benefits of breast lift surgery include:
- Repositions the breasts to a more youthful position
- Creates a perkier and more attractive look
- Can be combined with a breast augmentation procedure
- Can be combined with a breast reduction procedure
- Can also reduce the size of the areola
What to Expect with a Breast Lift
Unless we are performing a breast augmentation procedure, the breast size and overall shape does not change after a breast lift. Dr. McCluskey will simply use a special technique to remove and reposition skin from the breasts. The procedure typically takes 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours and can be performed under general anesthesia. If you want larger or smaller breasts to achieve a more attractive figure, we may perform breast augmentation surgery or a breast reduction with the breast lift procedure.
For many women, undergoing a breast lift provides both physical and personal benefits. Women feel more confident about their appearance after restoring curves and contours to the upper chest area.
